Kodak Digital Cameras: #1 With Consumers

Following a shaky start, Kodak digital cameras now outsell all other brands in the U.S. The venerable camera maker initially struggled with their digital cameras, but seems to have gotten it together.

J.D. Powers & Associates now ranks them #1 in customer satisfaction for digital cameras under $400, and Kodak is working hard on their upscale prosumer models.

User-Friendly Digital Cameras

The EasyShare Kodak digital camera line includes many of the easiest-to-use digital cameras in the world. All models feature video capture and multiple modes.

Most models in the Kodak EasyShare Digital Camera line feature 16MB or 32MB internal memory chips, with SD/MMC memory slots for unlimited photo storage. Many models include a dock for printing and battery recharge.

Kodak's Newest Digital Cameras

EasyShare-ONE is a 4-megapixel ultra-compact camera with 3X optical zoom. It sports a 3" rotating LCD, wireless photo sharing, 256MB built-in memory and other features. Kodak's MSRP is $599.95.

The new Performance Series cameras are for serious photographers. They have most of a digital SLR's creative flexibility at lower prices. And they include the video modes that digital SLRs can't provide. Kodak's latest prosumer digital cameras are:

• P850 - 5.1MP, 12X optical/3.3X digital zoom, 2.5" LCD, MSRP: $499.95.
